Lilach lives in a rural and bush area near the Kumeu river which is very rich in life and nature from which she takes a lot of her inspiration.

She came to New Zealand about 12 years ago and found the cultural differences between the two countries extreme. The mix of Pacific cultures in New Zealand and her own heritage have also inspired a lot of her designs which often represent the coming together of peoples in peace and harmony.

Another of her passions in life is the old alchemical / esoteric teaching, that basically means the old (and new for that matter) sciences i.e.: astrology (astronomy), alchemy (physics), hermetic (psychology) Kabbala (mystica) etc. These are all extremely rich in symbols and meaning that really talks to her so that and the grace and beauty of the Maori and pacific art and symbols are Lilach's main inspirations.

Lilach chose to work in bone for many reasons but one of the main ones was that bone in her language also means "essence". When Lilach carves in bone she feels that it allows her to portray the real essence of her thoughts and feelings as well as being the ideal medium for the incredibly fine detailed work which is her signature.
